TEDx is part of a revolution in global education made possible by local organizers wanting to engage their communities. Every week, communities are coming together to pursue ideas worth spreading. At a TEDx event, TED Talks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded "TEDx," where the x = an independently organized TED event. The TED Conference itself provides general guidance for a TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
